Hang tight - -

Kai's medical examination was today and everything looked great! Another hurdle out of the way - yay!!! She is 19.6 lbs. and 19 1/2 inches tall - - - a sturdy and healthy girl!!

Unfortunately, we found out this afternoon that the Embassy was closed today and will be closed again tomorrow for meetings. Ugh!! That means that we can't get Kai's visa until Wednesday at the earliest....which means we won't be able to fly home Wednesday after all!! We had just received our itinerary; now we've got to change it again and hope that there are seats available on Thursday. We will continue to have faith that God's got it covered (He does), and we will get home at the right time.

Hang in there!!! So glad to hear that her medical appointment went well. What a blessing. I know it is disappointing when changes and uncertainty happen, but God is in control and has a reason for everything. Enjoy the time you are there...the sights, the sounds (I know, the cars honking can get a bit irritating!!), and especially little Kai. Life will pick up when you get home, so enjoy this laid back time to bond with her! I'm praying for you! A couple of our favorite restaurants were: The Green Tangerin, Bobby Chin's and Al Fresco's...check them out if you havent' already! Also, we really enjoyed the Army Museum and the Temple of Literature. Just a few fun things to do to help pass the time!

After what you've been through... spending an extra day or two in Vietnam is CAKE! Remember that. I'm telling you... SOAK IN EVERY BIT of it while you're there. YOU WILL want to go back even though right now you're desperate to be home with Kai & Austin. And how dare you post without pictures??? I'm needing a new Kai pic. fix! Can't wait 'til it's the real thing! Have a great day!

Ok...just figured out my password. I have written on this blog so many times, and it has never been posted. We are all so excited about meeting Kai, and pray that the bond you are forming with her will get her through these difficults days and nights. I can't wait to meet her, but when the time is right. I thank God everyday for the blessing that he has given your family and everyone around you...just to be able to share in this wonderful gift. We love you all, and are so grateful that you made us a part of this incredible journey.
All our love

I wish I was going to be home to greet you all at the airport but I'm off on another business trip! I can't wait to meet Kai and hear all about it when you get home and settled. Safe travels!
