A fix!

Okay, okay!! I can hardly wait to post pictures just as soon as we take them....there's a lot of sweetness to share in this little girl! She has the cutest dimples you have ever seen...on her knees! We are madly in love with our spunky little Kai and have enjoyed every minute of this special time with her. What precious moments have been condensed into a short couple of weeks - learning so much about her and relishing the discovery of it all!

We leave in the morning and look forward to getting home to see Austin, family and friends. I will try to post one last time in the morning. I think it would be a cool thing for anyone and everyone who is following Kai's blog to write even a short comment following this post so that we'll know who's still with us. Just click on the " __ comments" that shows by the time stamp at the end of the post. Add your comment and submit!

Our hearts are with you all for the wonderful love, patience, kindness and support you have all shown throughout this crazy Journey to Kai (J2K!)- - even from strangers, some of who are still waiting for their own joyful reunions with their Vietnamese babies. I pray every day for the waiting families and for the children; for their peace and happy endings. And I know that God will unite them all in His due time!! Keep the faith!! Of course, this is far from the ending for any of us....it is a new beginning, a new chapter in our lives, and I give God all the glory for allowing us to take this next step.

So...here are the last day's pictures of our little angel....the bathing suit and hat was only worn once in the room (too cold to swim, but does she look ready for the catwalk, or what?!?), and the bow in the hair (look closely) was in there for approximately 2.5 seconds before she pulled it out (sorry, Nicole! I'll keep trying!!). The Vietnamese lady in the picture is the agency's facilitator. She was a tremendous help to us through everything! She is expecting her first baby, but she's had lots of practice with babies, we could tell, and will make a wonderful mother. It was a joy getting to know her as well.

Hope to see everyone very soon!!

We've got a catwalk ready for Kai to walk down in EVERY in house in LaGrange! We love you Kai (& Shawn & Wendy)! What a blessing it is that you will be here tomorrow night. God's perfect timing has found the perfect family for you!

What a blessing you are, Kai! You are CHOSEN by God and you are amazing!

Wendy, the pic of Kai laying her head on your shoulder is priceless...that is a GREAT sign of positive attachment!! Your comment about her bow cracked me up because Gracie would do the exact same thing!! Her favorite thing to do was to pull her bow out (immediately), then hand it to me and say, "bow"! There is hope, though, as she now wears her bows all the time...but it took a lot of persistence on my part!!

Wow, just hours now until your family will be reunited and what a special homecoming that will be. Praying for your safety and a smooth transition at home!!! Congrats, again!

We have enjoyed being part of this journey. There has not been a day or night that we haven't looked at this blog. I'm a Kaiaholic. Kai, I hope one day you can comprehend all the love and joy you have brought everyone. You are so special to us. Wendy and Shawn thanks so much for allowing us to be part of this and for sharing your journey. We can't wait to hug that baby girl and see you home safe. The four of you are so blessed. Kai's name is so appropriate bc she truly has brought joy to us all. Austin will be a wonderful brother. Hope to see you soon. Don't stop blogging bc we will all be lost and will be having withdrawals.

Hi. I am one of the 'complete strangers' you mentioned =). I hope that isn't weird. I stumbled upon your blog sort of by accident; I think that you may be a friend of a friend of a friend or something like that =). But, even though we do not know each other, your story captured my heart. I have been praying for you and your family since the first day I found your blog. My husband and I have felt God speaking to us about adoption quite a bit lately (and I think that may be a reason I 'found' your blog). I think that Kai is beautiful! We will continue to pray for your family as you journey home! I look forward to seeing more updates and pictures. Thank you so much for sharing your story!

We are SO happy for your entire family. Little Kai looks like she is en pointe in that swimsuit photo. Maybe she can do ballet AND model?

Your entries have such joy. What a blessing.

as the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child," and Kai has had quite the village in her short little life! I know you're so thankful for the people who have taken care of her while you were waiting to bring her home, and she has another village here just waiting to love on her and welcome her! Can't wait to meet her!

ok...this messageis for Kai..Welcome home! We have all waited a long time to finally meet you. Our family has been friends with your mommy and daddy for a long time, and I just wanted to tell you alittle bit about them. They are very blessed to have you in their lives, and you are very blessed to have them! First, your big brother Austin, he is wonderful! He is so smart, and funny. He loves sports and the outdoors...he will teach you so many things in years to come. And I'm sure that he will always be willing to play with you, and most importantly he will always protect you. Next is Daddy...he is one of the smartest men I know. He can fix anything, and he is great with projects (remember that when you are in school), he also is a very funny guy...I think that's were Austin get's it from. He will teach you how to dance, and how to have fun...and even embrass you in front of your friends by "breakdancing", but most of all he will love you until the end of time! Last of all, Mommy! I have never met a lady with such determination...she never gave up on bringing you home. She is so smart, and talented. She has the biggest heart, and cares so deeply for people. If you ever need her, you can count on her being there. She will teach you so many things, and will always be there for you. Her support knows no boundaries! I guess what I'm trying to say, is that you have a wonderful family...and God has brought you all together for one reason...and that is to love each other! Welcome home Kai!
